One of the things discussed on this program is the report that Fortis predicts complete meltdown of US banking system. That has turned out to be a net hoax.

Interesting radio show. I did not find the 2 week prediction in the asia times article, but I skimmed it, having read it before.

But I do feel we are on very thin ice. I am upping the cash on hand in FRNs in case of banking chaos.

I talked the wife into buying 1k in new clothing. She is so on board with frugality she was not even getting new clothes that fit well after her nice weight loss that called our attention to her diabetes onset. She looks great :D, but she needs clothes that fit and they are only going to cost more FRNs month by month. With her usual sharp sale hunting she got a lot for her money! Now I am nagging for more shoes and socks, etc. And I will get more socks too. I have not changed size and I got us both a lot of cotton clothes last year. We might do better at some going out of business sales, but cotton is going to cost a lot of FRNs both because of demand from Asia and the crashing dollar.

I never imagined there were potential wives you had to nag to buy clothes, but I got lucky. :haha:
